Poem Of The Day
Dell
In the mountains of Virginiain late spring, I saw the vision of a wing--diaphanous and dear, heart's hallelujahdrifting clear from the summit, to bringmy soul to the current momentof curve, dell, and bower;to persuade away past lament--reveal through scrim, a light shafted flower.Oh, sudden prism, single eye!Hued air, you penetrate the stones, rent resistance and shatter the lie, that grief is sown to the bone.I stretch my heart in this new air.I will, I breathe, I dare.
